Background and story
Every old road once began here. You are the Waykeeper, keeper of its wayhouse. Tonight its bell rings, though Cinderwake has no bell tower.
Cinderwake is the starting point of the Waykeeper’s journey and the home the company returns to. Its wayhouse connects the practical work of sheltering travelers with the much stranger responsibility of answering a call from another world.
The bell’s missing tower is the first sign that ordinary geography cannot explain every road. Cinderwake’s relationship with those roads is a question the story gradually explores.
