Traveler
Mira Vell

Background and story
Mira arrives asking the Waykeeper to keep a light burning. Someone wants the world to forget her friend Linnet. Her promise draws the company onto a road that should not exist.
Mira brings the outside world to the Waykeeper’s door. Her request is personal: she is carrying a light for Linnet, and asks the company to help keep that promise. The journey begins with responsibility for one friend rather than a search for treasure.
Her relationship with Linnet gives the lantern custom a human meaning. A lamp matters because someone has chosen to remember another person. Mira’s role is to make that choice visible to the Waykeeper and to the company.
